Named by a dear friend, Lyra Stone works primarily as an adventurer these days - while offering a helping hand at Gartner's Remedies. In her years since arriving in Vylbrand, she has made a name for herself as a woman willing to do a little menial labor and hard work for a good book or two.Both fiction and non-fiction.The Stone name is well-known in certain corners of Limsa Lominsa. Famously, they are patrons of the Dutiful Sisters of the Edelweiss. The family oft takes in the destitute at the request of the Sisters and, in recent years, the Maelstrom. The Stone compound has not laid silence since opening its gates to those who have needed a home.In the past, it would have came as no surprise to any local to see Lyra stepping in and out of the headquarters of the Dutiful Sisters. On occasion, one will see her pull through the streets today towards those doors - and hear her loudly berated for never visiting.Visiting or not, Lyra always keeps a well worn linkpearl - just in case.Time has worn away at the bonds of the Stone family members who arrived in Vylbrand all those years ago. Aelina, name-giver, grows busier by the day managing the compound. Lavena has long since left the shores for the Majestic Theater Company. As for her dear mentor, Wymund, there has been no word of him since he tasked Lyra with ferrying his family safely away from the Garlean Empire.But Lyra holds out hope.She doesn't hold this hope alone. Arbir JutainA miserable knight. A former dragoon. Abandoned his post at the end of the dragonsong war, too many closely held beliefs revealed to be lies. Another Path called to him, his light armor replaced with cold, black platemail and his spear replaced with an immense slab of steel. Convinced his every misery is a punishment from Halone herself, and any pleasures found are atransgression in and of themselves. He's slowly learning to believe otherwise though, dragged out of his self loathing by his companions and his wife, Rainette. Slowly relearning to live in a world he thought he once understood.
Videer O'fionagainiBorn and raised in the West Shroud, Videer set out with his sisters to enroll in the Twin Adders during the Seventh Umbral Calamity, but backed down when the realities of war got to him. Instead, he took refuge and apprenticeship at Gaertner's Remedies, taking up the dual mantle of Conjurer and Chirurgeon. Today, he and his boyfriend, Wayland Gaertner, work tirelessly to keep the Twelveswood in the highest bill of health, while his sisters earned leadership positions in the Wood Wailers and God's Quiver, each seeking to keep Gridania safe in their own way.
